Free 2012 Calendar ~Printables~

I love printables.

I am an organizer by nature and delight in writing things down in lists with little boxes to check off.  So when preparing to meal plan for the month, I wanted a cute calendar on which to write it all but didn't want to have to buy said calendar.  Quick Google search for 'free printable calendar blog 2012' and voila!

Simply Sweet Home did a great post highlighting several free blog planners and monthly calendar printables such as this songbird beauty:

Now I don't blog plan (you're not surprised??) but I meal plan.  So join me in being organized in style.  Thanks for doing all the hard work, SSH!

P.S. I ended up printing the calendar from Thankfully Thrifty.  So cute but does use a bit of ink...

Wyatt Turns 2! (GF Pumpkin Muffins)

Big brother turned two on the 18th and we had a very impromptu, informal get together to celebrate his milestone.

In the morning, I hung his birthday banner from last year and made gluten free pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.  I'll post the recipe at the bottom.  YUM.  Then Wyatt went with Daddy to drop off a load of trash at the dump (a favorite Saturday past time).

At some point during the day we had the idea to throw together a little celebration with Wyatt's toddler buddies.  Six pizzas, a gluten free cupcake mix later (Namaste chocolate cake mix- double yum) and we were in business.

There were hugs,

Piano playing,

And more hugs... (Noah was on a roll!)

It is good to be two!  See those fingers?  We were practicing holding up both hands.

Sister wore her party outfit complete with tutu.  Daddy had set her down to do something. I'm like, 'Babe, there's an infant swing two steps away, why the arm chair?'  Silly daddies.

Gluten Free, Dairy Free Pumpkin Muffins

2.5 Cups Gluten Free Flour (I used 1.5 cups Namaste GF Baking Mix and 1 cup oat flour)
1 C brown sugar
1 Tbsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt

Can of pumpkin (~14oz)
1 C milk (I used rice milk)
1/2 C plain yogurt (I subbed applesauce to make Wyatt's dairy free)
1/4 C canola oil

375 Oven. Mix first 7 ingredients into a large bowl, make a well in the center.  Combine remaining 4 ingredients in a medium bowl.  Add to well, stir just until moistened.  Fill 12 muffin cups. Bake ~25 minutes.  These are dense and delicious!
